Lynne White is an award-winning journalist, broadcaster, and host of Getting Through It with Lynne White and Friends.
For most of her adult life, Lynne has worked in journalism, telling stories that shaped public life and speaking with people at the center of extraordinary moments. Today, she brings that same curiosity, integrity, and compassion to conversations about resilience, hope, and how we move through life’s most difficult chapters.
A life in journalism.
Over the course of her career, Lynne has covered some of the most significant events of our time, from the assassination of John Lennon to the tragedy of 9/11.
Her work in broadcast journalism has earned her three Emmy Awards, and her career has included anchoring, co-hosting, interviewing newsmakers, covering major events, and bringing important stories to audiences with clarity, intelligence, and care.
Through it all, Lynne’s work has been guided by a deep interest in people: their stories, their challenges, their courage, and the moments that change the course of a life.
A renewed sense of purpose.
In 2025, Lynne’s own life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer.
It was one of the most difficult challenges she had ever faced. With the expertise of brilliant doctors, access to cutting-edge treatments, and the love and support of family and friends, Lynne began navigating this devastating chapter with strength, hope, and gratitude.
That experience deepened her understanding of uncertainty, resilience, and the human need for connection. After a lifetime of telling other people’s stories, Lynne felt called to create a space where people facing their own struggles could feel less alone.
Getting Through It.
That renewed purpose led to Getting Through It with Lynne White and Friends, a podcast dedicated to honest conversations about challenge, healing, resilience, and the wisdom people find along the way.
In each episode, Lynne speaks with guests from all walks of life about what they have faced, what helped them through, and what they learned on the other side.
The goal is simple: to remind people that they are not alone.the other side.
Stories connect us.
Whether through journalism, conversation, or shared experience, Lynne’s work is rooted in the belief that stories can steady us, open us, and help us move forward.
